Attorney graduated from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB), Caracas, 1990. Obtained a Master’s Degree in Comparative Jurisprudence, New York University (NYU), New York, 1993. Has a Management Course for Attorneys at the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración (IESA). He was a partner with the Baumeister & Brewer law firm. He is an expert in business and corporate law and also has extensive expertise as a consultant for local and foreign companies in the areas of business law, insurance and labor law, as well as in negotiations and contracts, both between individuals and between individuals and the public sector. He has participated in important bid tenders and privatizations and in business restructuring. He has coordinated the strategy of important litigations and arbitrations for national and foreign clients. Among his professional activities are consulting services for foreign investment in Venezuela. He is a member of the Asociación de Ejecutivos de Venezuela (AVE) and was secretary of the association's Best Practices Executive Council. He is member of the Arbitration Committee of the Cámara Venezolano-Americana de Comercio e Industria (VenAmCham). He has attended international seminars to talk about free trade and safeguards. He assisted on behalf of the AVE in the revision and drafting of the Andean Corporative Governance Code boosted by the Andean Development Corporation. He is a lecturer on Corporative Governance. He is fluent in English.
